The firm’s founder, Jason A. Shartzer, is an experienced trial attorney who was awarded the highest AV peer review rating, in addition to receiving numerous prestigious awards and honors, including the “Top 40 Litigation Lawyers Under 40” multiple years running, as well as the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers in 2014, as well as being named a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers multiple years.

Jason was born in Lafayette, Indiana, but grew up in Brownsburg. Jason started college at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and eventually transferred and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans. While attending Loyola University New Orleans, he worked in the Loyola University Archives and at the Loyola University School of Law.
After working as a partner at the firm of Yosha Cook Shartzer & Tisch, alongside trial legend, Louis “Buddy” Yosha for nearly 13 years, Jason decided to start his own firm. Mr. Shartzer currently sits on the Brebeuf Alumni Board of Directors, as well as the Board of Directors for the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
His accolades include an AV-rating (the highest rating an attorney can earn) from Martindale-Hubbell. With an extensive legal background spanning nearly two decades, Jamie Collins has worked for several high-profile trial lawyers and honed her skills to earn herself a reputation as a savvy litigation and trial paralegal. She currently assists Shartzer Law Firm in effectively litigating personal injury and wrongful death cases from inception through trial. She has worked alongside the firm’s founding attorney, Jason A. Shartzer, for more than a decade, across multiple firms.
In 2012, Ms. Collins was awarded Indiana’s new member “Paralegal of the Year” Award by the Indiana Paralegal Association. She has been featured several times on About.com – legal careers (A New York Times Company) as both, a litigation paralegal and the Founder of The Paralegal Society. To date, she has penned over 100 articles geared toward paralegals. Perhaps her greatest professional accomplishment to date was her creation of The Paralegal Society, a social forum to educate, motivate, and inspire paralegals. The forum quickly gained traction and garnered mainstream popularity to become one of the leading paralegal blogs in the country.
